Answers to Help You Move Forward
What type of housing is available?
From The Nside Out Foundation provides furnished shared housing designed to offer residents a safe, stable, and supportive environment while they work toward greater independence.
Rooms are shared.
Our housing model provides furnished shared living accommodations in a professionally managed environment. Shared housing allows residents to have a stable place to live while developing responsibility, communication skills, healthy routines, and positive connections with others.
Residents are expected to respect the privacy, dignity, safety, and personal boundaries of everyone in the home.
What is included with housing?
Housing may include:
- Furnished shared accommodations
- Utilities
- Wi-Fi
- Laundry access
- Three nutritious meals each day
- Life-skills education
- Resource and referral connections
- Computers, Employment and education support
- Assistance connecting with benefits and community resources
- Transportation/resource connections
- Personal-growth and independent-living support
How long can a resident stay?
The From The Nside Out Foundation housing program is structured as a three-phase, one-year journey toward greater stability and independence.
Each phase is designed to help residents progress from establishing immediate stability to developing practical skills, strengthening their support network, and preparing for greater independence.
Progress is individualized. A resident’s participation and continued placement are based on program expectations, individual goals, progress, eligibility, and available resources.
The goal is not simply to provide housing for a year—the goal is to help residents use that year to build a stronger foundation for their next chapter.
Is housing guaranteed after a referral?
No. A referral does not guarantee housing placement.
All referrals are reviewed according to program eligibility, individual circumstances, housing requirements, and current availability. A referral begins the consideration process; it does not constitute an acceptance or guarantee of placement.
When housing is not immediately available or a resident does not meet program eligibility requirements, we will make reasonable efforts to connect individuals with appropriate community resources or other available referrals.
How does the Housing Success Plan work?
The Housing Success Plan is a personalized roadmap designed to help each resident move from housing instability toward greater stability and independence.
The Housing Success Plan is about progress—not perfection. Each resident’s journey is different, and the goal is to help each person identify their strengths, take practical steps forward, and build a sustainable path toward independence
